Kev has had a busy 3 days since the last blog post. It has been really windy... with weather warnings out around the Valencia community. Wind speeds of up to 70 or 80km/h, hence Kev decided to work inside. He has been busy tiling the bathroom, which is a mean feat considering he is having to keep stopping to remove lumps in the walls and even render some parts that are just so far off of flat!

He has also been out a couple of times getting sticks...Thursday morning it rained for a while so some sticks are drying on the terrace for using at the weekend.

We have a bit of a glut of beetroot at the minute with new plants ready to go out and new seeds being planted. I have been looking for recipes to use them and came across 2 new ones (they will be added to the recipe page soon) The first is Beetroot tarte tatin

from Mr Hugh Fearnley- Whittingstall and it was lovely. The next was a beetroot and carob tea loaf...sounds odd but was really very nice and dairy free too.
