Got up this morning very early, before the cockerels even, to ensure I could find the time to write a post. February was my last post, which seems ages ago and if you remember we had put eggs into the incubator. Originally there were 20 egg, 2 were not viable. Out of the possible 18 we hatched 12, 2 others died during the hatching process. They are healthy, happy chicks that eat all day and are growing fast. They put on 350g in 4 weeks. We have another week of them inside at night and then they will be outside in the run permanently. We are really looking forward to this day as anyone that has raised their own chicks will know how much mess they make and how much they stink!!!!!
